Happy Two Weeks, Sophia!

Happy two weeks, Sophia!
Clothes: She wears size one diapers and is in newborn clothes. For some reason, I am cycling her through the same 3-4 pairs of pajamas and that's about it! She's not long enough for 0-3 month stuff yet and I don't want her in "clothes" because she'll be cold.
Let no one be mistaken, this is the face that she makes for about 20 hours of the day. Poor baby.

Food: Sophia is still breastfeeding well. I was able to get her feedings down to 30 minutes instead of 45 minutes long, which helps make it not seem like that is all I'm doing. She feeds every 3 hours, from 7 am-7 pm, then we do a cluster feed at 9 pm and 11  pm. After that we go to sleep and she wakes us for a feed, usually just once around 4 am!
She struggles so much with gas!

Sleep: This week, we saw some improvement with her sleep schedule. I think she got her nights and days ordered right now and she is sleeping pretty well at night, from 11 pm until 7 am. When she was nine days old we moved her to her crib at night time (and we finally got to sleep in bed together again!) and that first night she slept almost 7 or 8 hours straight! I felt so guilty for not setting an alarm and feeding her in the night, but I really had thought she would wake us up. The same thing happened the next two nights, but after that she started waking us up to eat around 4 am.

Her day sleep is hit or miss. I really think she needs more sleep but we just haven't figured out all of her cues yet.
The paci has made it to baby #2!

Miscellaneous:
*She is SO gassy! I know I've said that several times already, but poor girl is just so full of it. She farts and burps all day long and she struggles with it. You can feel it moving around in her just by putting your hand on her belly. I've cut out dairy from my diet (starting today) and we give her prescription gas drops 3 times a day and gripe water at all the other feedings. It seems to help a little bit. Here's to hoping her little digestive system develops quickly!
*I was changing her diaper one day, and we went through 4 diapers in one diaper change, because every time I picked her legs up to put the clean diaper under her, she went again! I was cracking up! She was screaming mad!
*Sophia has a couple of nick names already- Baby (Grace only calls her baby!) Sophie, So-so, and, my favorite, pumpernickel (haha, German for fart goblin? That's our baby.)
*She had her first bath at 8 days old and loved it!
*Sophia has the longest big toe I have ever seen on a baby! And the most adorable dimple on her right cheek. I can't wait to see her smile and see that dimple more often!

i can't believe she's already 2 weeks old! what a precious baby! Elyse was gassy once or twice as a newborn & I can't imagine the discomfort! Poor Sophia, I hope she outgrows that very soon!

Poor gassy baby! Henry had gas when he was new but not as bad as Sophia. We just kept doing bicycle legs until it was all out, and then once it built up again we would do it again. I'm sure you are totally on top of it but your diaper changing story reminded me of it!!

She is so very very cute!

Sophia is so precious! I swear her photos look just like Grace did when she was a baby! I also love that Grace calls Sophia "her baby". So cute!
